X201

#1 Post by ThinkRob » Sun Feb 14, 2010 7:23 pm

Just a quick heads-up: Lenovo *has* posted the full specs, parts, and even FRU lists for the X200si, X201, X201i and X201s models...

Take a look at the current version of the HMM ;)

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-70149

page 169, I see a touch pad

there is now stereo speakers (for X201 and X201i, X201s still has mono speaker)!

no big del or esc key, no combined mic/headphone jack, no hdmi or display port, no esata port, no mute button for mic etc. :|

that why it is named X201, instead of X210.

What are the specific features that make an "i" an "i"?

It should support WiDi (wireless display) though - which may well render video cables (including HDMI) obsolete. As I understand it, any i5 or i7 system will support WiDi, no? All is needed is a Push2TV adapter ($99) on the display/TV/projector.

What would be more interesting is USB3...
