What's the 4-Cell batteries life?

#1 Post by crushedumblr » Fri Feb 19, 2010 2:01 pm

I currently have an 8cell, but it only holds about a just under 2 hours. So I was looking at buying one of the 4 cell (for the smaller size) from eBay. Has there been any issues with the Hong Kongs dealers battery quality?

Yeah. I bought one of the aftermarket Hong Kong batteries not long ago (6 cell for X31) and linux says that it only has 47% capacity. It does last for a bit over two hours though.

My 4 cell (original Lenovo 4 Cell) just arrived, but I haven't tested fully yet. I can let you know how long it lasts. My initial response would be around 3.5 hours. My 8 cell lasts about 4.5 and is around 60% of original capacity.

Well, I have run the battery from full charge to dead 2 times, and it lasts just a bit longer than 4 hours. Seems pretty good in my opinion, tiny laptop and battery so it's all good.

I get 2:15 from mine surfing.

Really need more juice though - gotta find an 8 cell or move up to a newer unit with more stamina.

I have an 8 cell that gives me 3:30 without wifi, max performance. The Lenovo site says the 70+watt ac adapter is recommended for the unit, if you have the 56 watt, that may be the problem. I had an 8cell on an X41 non-tablet which gave me 1.5 hours which had burnt cells so I bought a 4 cell aftermarket and I get 2;15 or so on it.
