No Scan Finger Prints on the log-on screen

#1 Post by pinesol » Fri Feb 19, 2010 7:57 pm

I've just upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista Ultimate on my T60 Thinkpad.
I also upgraded the Finger Print Software to that of Windows 7.
I can enroll finger prints by using Control-> System Security -> Lenovo Finger Print Reader.
I can also do the same thing from the Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools.

What I can't do now is use the Scan Finger Print option from the log-on screen.
That option does not exist any longer.
Do you know how to get this option reinstated?

Thank you.

Working fine for me on my T61p, clean install of Win7x64. Maybe run Lenovo Update and make sure you have the latest software and driver for the fingerprint reader. Also, if you went the upgrade path from vista to 7, it's possible you're still using a version of the software/driver not fully compatible with 7, which Lenovo Update might notice, but you might want to double-check Lenovo's site to make sure you have the latest version for 7.

If all of that fails, maybe try simply uninstall/reinstall the driver & software?
