does the 170W W700 power adapter work with the W510?

lenovo.com sells spare 135W W510 power adapters for $99.00. eBay sells spare 170W W700 power adapters for around $65.00. My question is... will a 170W power adapter work on a W510? I would assume so since the connections are the same and since the wattage is higher but I just wanted to make sure.

A friend of mine had a 170W W700 adapter and the plugs aren't even compatible. This is actually a bit of a surprise to me given that every other Lenovo laptop I've seen has had at least the same plugs.

So, anyway, to answer this question... no - a W700 adapter will not work on the W510.
