PATA-SATA drive caddies: eBay bestbuy-digital; not good?

Folks,

Following a recommendation here I bought a PATA-to-SATA caddy from the eBayer bestbuy-digital. At present I would not recommend this source. Although the adapter delivered would dock OK in the UkltraBay of my T42 2373, it would not dock a new WD2500BEVT SATA HDD; although all the connector were present and to the unassisted eye looked just fine, the dimensions were off just enough to preclude docking the WD HDD into the adaptor. Oh, and the adapter delivered was not new, either, having had parts of the protective blue plastic film from the stainless steel base removed.

I've emailed bestbuy-digital to give them an opportunity to make amends and will keep the forum in touch with progress. But for the moment i could not recommend this source.

That's annoying. Seems like it has been sold before and returned because the previous buyer(s) ran into the same issue as you did..
