replacement DVD/CD drives for the T60 - suggestions?

#1 Post by wild_bill » Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:42 pm

if you were replacing the stock DVD/CD burner (the M a t s u s h i t a/Panasonic UJ-842) what drive would you recommend for very accurate CD burning for music?

I am wondering on which drives that were made to fit internally would be the high end ones, what are some models that will work internal in T60?

cheers!

You can only replace the ultrabase drive with another ultrabase slim device. The thinkpads use a special connector. Generic drives will not work.

I understand that any old drive will not work, that it what I am looking for, a list of which drives are compatible with my Ultrabase and can be used to replace the M a t s u s h i t a UJ-842

so, a complete list of "ultrabase slim" DVD/CD burners would be helpful - thanks!
