How to add own 3G provider? (X60)

#1 Post by jiopsi » Wed Feb 24, 2010 9:29 am

I have unlocked (DCunlocker) Sierra MC8755 3G modem in my X60. How can I add my own service provider and use it?

Nevermind, got it working.

Word of warning everyone, do not install HDSPA drivers from device manager, it will not work correctly with Thinkvantage Access Connections. Install it by clicking the .msi file:
Install

1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
2. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted.
3. Double-click MC87xx.msi file.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
5. Restart the computer. ** Important **
I spent 4 hours on trying to figure why the Access Connection provider/apn etc settings were corrupted.
