Hi there,
I am the owner of a T41 (type 2373); the graphic chip is an ATI 9600. After a while of quite heavy graphic work the display (1400x1050 px) starts "snowing" horizontally - when pressing the SPACE bar it turn to normal function for a short time.
Is it a transitional cooling issue that can be fixed remounting the graphics cooler properly or is this a permanent default?
Thanks in advance for any fruitful advice!
regards, Phantasio

Re: T41p - Display "snowing"
I have the same problem with a T41 with the ATI 9600 chip.
It's the "loose GPU" problem. You might be able to make it a little better by applying pressure to the graphics chip, but the long term solution is a reflow/reball.
