T400 screen won't dim upon awake from sleep- XP Pro

#1 Post by emeraldgirl08 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 6:53 pm

When I put the T400 to sleep and then resume... the brightness automatically goes to max. I try and turn the brightness down but it will not. It only does this on AC. I've looked at my Power Manager settings but I don't see anything that might trigger this annoying quirk. I have to restart the laptop to gain control of the brightness again. I have my Power Manager set up:

Code: Select all

Power Source Optimized

                                                        on Battery on AC

max cpu speed: : adaptive : Highest
cpu deeper sleep: : enabled : disabled
optimize fan control to: : balance all parameters : maximize performance
display brightness: : fourth notch from low : third from High
auto optical drive off: : enabled : disabled

Idle Timers: : Never : Never
Lower to: : Low : fourth from High
Lower display refresh rate: : after 3 min : Never
Lower to: : 50hz : is grayed out
Turn off Display: : after 5 mins : after 15 mins
I don't have the Dynamic Brightness Control settings checked off. If anyone has any insight please share. Thanks.
