Does the NEW X201 series use the same chassis as the X200?

X200, X201, X220 (including equivalent tablet models) and X300, X301 series specific matters only.

Does the NEW X201 series use the same chassis as the X200?

Or does it utilize something newer tech like the chassis from the X300 or new X400 with double roll cage designs? thanks, J

The fact that the X200 and X201 share a HMM might be a clue.

Thanks for the answer. Sad that they can't design something new for so long now. The economy must really be taking a toll on r&d. J

I hope you're kidding. I, among many others, wish that Lenovo would keep the chassis so that it would be compatible with ultrabases of the old models. That way we don't have to plunk more money into buying a different ultrabase everytime we upgrade the laptop.
