Possible to swap display screen from t61p?

I've got a wuxga 1920x1200 on my t61p that is superior to the 1680x1050 wxsga+ on my t500. Both are 15.4" screens.

Are the connectors the same format, same layout? How about the screens physically if you remove them from the bezel, are the panels on holders or have mounting holes that are identical? If so then you have a good chance for a swapout.
