Restuffing a 240 battery

I have a 240!

It's batteries are dead!

What kind of cells do they use?

Carefully open it and tell us! Probably 18650's. Keep in mind if your doing this to save money, you probably wont. $30 to $50 is about normal for a refill, by the time you add your labor, there is little savings. I have done it a few times just because...... and enjoyed doing it. The offset batteries like the R32/T30/T2x/R40 are a PITA. the inline like the A31's are pretty straight forward.

They are definitely *not* 18650's. 18650's are the size of a AA, and a AA is thicker than the 240's battery case. If there is a AAA sized equivalent of an 18650, that's probably what I need, but there are a lot of weird little batteries that size with different voltages.

18650 cells are 18mm in diameter and 65mm long, significantly bigger than AA batteries (14mm x 50mm). AAA cells are about 10mm x 44mm so if your 240 battery pack is about 13mm thick, then it might be using something like a 10440 LiIon cell. Or it could be a completely different form-factor.

Hi,

I am attaching some pictures of the internals of a 240 battery I opened some time ago.

Comments: 3 batteries=Size (mm) 50x35x10
No maker indicated
All three have the number DBGP6A engraved, but google do not provide any info.
Also each one have additional numbers engraved like: 23609, 18592, 26177.
Please note the funny window in the base.
Additional numbers printed as you can see in the picture.

We need to dig a little deeper. Those three batteries look like they probably contain three cells each. Those cells should be identifiable and replaceable.
