Had problems getting intel 3945 (r60,61,t60,61) to work with recent major linux distros - Found that by booting up, then turning wifi switch off and on, and then configuring wifi the module would load and connect. To get to load at bootup I had to add 'echo -n 1 > /proc/sys/dev/wifi0/ledpin;' toetc/rc.local - now it works from bootup.
For Trackpoint middle button, if you're using Firefox, type about:conf in Firefox address bar, scroll down to 'middlemouse.paste=true, left click to highlight, right click then hit toggle to change value. Do the same for 'middlemouse.contentLoadURL=true' and 'general.autoScroll=false' . So you're changing the given value of each, close window and you'll have vertical and horizontal scrolling with trackpoint middle button.
If you use different browser 'www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_configure_the_TrackPoint' has more info. Good Luck - if anyone has better/more info - please add - thanks.
