I have a T60p with the FireGL 5250, upgraded to Win7Pro32 from VistaBus. Everything's great except for the graphics driver situation: my previous base score was 4.2, and then it plunged to this:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz 5.1
2.5 Determined by lowest subscore
Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB 5.1
Graphics ATI MOBILITY FireGL V5250 **2.5**
Gaming graphics 1535 MB Total available graphics memory 3.5
Primary hard disk 206GB Free (278GB Total) 5.9
Windows 7 Professional
Lenovo says no driver update and I'm SOL, and the graphics is comparatively laggy. Can others kindly compare your situation/ratings, with any fix, if it exists? I've seen the scattered misc. references to ATI MobilityModder, but am leery of inadvertently causing even greater damage. PLEASE, somebody share definitive advice on this? I'd really appreciate it.
thank you,
Brian

Re: Graphics laggy in T60p with FireGL 5250 running Win7Pro
Hi,
here are my ratings (system is as given in my signature):
Processor: 5.4
RAM: 5.4
Graphics (Desktop performance for Windows aero): 4.3 (<-- lowest)
Gaming graphics: 4.4
Primary HDD: 5.9
I am using the driver available via windows update. Additionally, I have also installed Catalyst Control Center (for ATI FirePro, Vista driver package, modded with Mobility Modder) in order to be able to better control the power settings of the graphics card (unfortunately Lenovo Power Manager does not cover that feature very well).
Cheers,
Marin
