#1 Post by ludu35 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 3:56 am

Hello all
Got a copied of Windows Ultimate 7 64-bit, and tried to install it on T400 and X200. I had no problem at all with T400, the windows activated by itself after finish the installation, but my x200 gave me the failed check of WGA after I do the windows update and system updated from Lenovo.
The SLIC is 2.1, BIOS is 3.12 ...
Can someone please help
Thanks

When you activate a single copy of W7, it is tied to the hardware it is activated on. You can't reinstall the same copy without uninstalling it from the first machine. You need to purchase a second license for the X200.

Like Harryc said, buy another license. One license, one computer. Windows OS license is on a per machine basis, NOT per user.

Guys
It works now, I guess (not 100% sure) the problem was the installation of MS Office 2007, for some reason everything is fine with OS, but right after i installed MS Office and updated, my OS failed to pass WGA ...

I tried again, but this time using different MS Office ... and everything is OK so far.

Anyway, thanks guys
LD

P.S. The Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, I installed is Enterprise version, it should have no problem at all with license or limitation ...
