After college today, I went into my local WHSmiths to buy a mothers day card. The alarms went off as I walked in, but then someone was walking out with a GAME carrier bag, and they usually do set the things off.
I left the store with my card, the alarms go off again. I shrug, continue walking and get asked to return to the store. Since im innocent, have time to kill, and dont really feel like giving a show of girl vs security beef to the street for no reason, I do so.
Walk in, alarms go off again. Ok, so its definately me. Dunno why, I explain I only went to buy a mothers day card. Yes, i do also have a WHSmiths folder in my backpack, it has been in there since the start of the term, and if full of my college notes. There are biros in there bought the start of term too. Probably a couple of other objects too. I am a student, after all. And there's my laptop too.
Yeah. My z60t sets off WHSmiths alarms. How weird is that?
Yeah they had a quick peek into my backpack, assured themselves there wasnt some expensive tagged object in there (At least not ones they sell) and apologised for the inconvenience.

Re: Random ??? of the day
That's because a Z60T is too cool to be detected as a normal piece of WHSmiths merchandiseAelon wrote:My z60t sets off WHSmiths alarms. .

The Z series are really cool looking machines. I hope Lenovo would bring back the Titanium lid as an upgrade option to some of the Thinkpad models.
