Missing Win7 drivers on T22

#1 Post by ChugokuOtaku » Sat Mar 13, 2010 8:04 pm

Did a search on the forum but didn't find any answers, so here I go...

I wanted to try out Win7 on my T22(specs listed in signature) and see how well it performs against XP.
Win7 installed fine, although it can't find half of the necessary drivers I'm looking for. Dug around on other forums and didn't arrive at any answers either, until I came across this site:
http://restore-disk.com/restoredisks/Le ... 19220.html
looks like these ppl put together a driver CD just for T22 running Win7(either that, or some enthusiasts actually took the time to write the drivers). Has anyone tried this?
I went to the individual manufacturer's sites to find drivers but all were discontinued.

If not, can anyone who tried out Win7 on a T2x machine point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!!

I've tried it on T23, just for fun. Wasn't impressed whatsoever. Slooooooooooooooooooooow.

My suggestion would be to go back to XP with the T22. Yesterday.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have both the license as well as the disks for both 2k Pro and XP Pro. It actually has no trouble running XP Pro, but I was reading an article about ppl who've managed to install Win7 on a machine with specs as low as 256megs of RAM running at 266Mhz. I just thought I'd give it a shot and see how my 900Mhz T22 can handle it.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but I've given up on the hunt for drivers and installed Ubuntu on it. :)
