Upgrading/extending warranty

So, I have a T60 2007-FVG (with FlexView) where I just realised that the warranty expires the 18 (3 year carry-in). Having lurked here I knew that it should be possible to buy an extended warranty, but, having talked with Lenovo and a few dealers, I'm getting a little confused.
First I talked to Lenovo technical support, but they only deal with, well, technical problems and weren't really sure, but didn't think it would be possible and told me to talk with a dealer (I'm in Europe). The first dealer didn't really know either, but will get back to me, and the other didn't know that much too, but believed that it might be possible to add 1 year onsite and then told me to talk to Lenovo about that (who will no doubt send me back to the dealer).

So, anyone here that can give me the straight dope on a warranty extension on a T60 in Europe? And any reference numbers to look for if it's possible.

To my best knowledge when I upgraded the warranty on my T43p was through Lenovo's sales department, they were able to sell me and upgrade the warranty to an additional 2 years, giving it 5 years in total of services.
