mc8775 driver issue

#1 Post by beergoggles » Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:39 pm

I got a lenovo branded mc8775 WWAN card and installed it in my T61p. However, for reasons unknown to me, the card will not install. I tried installing the driver from lenovo's website but I had no success. I've tried whatever I can think of but I keep getting the error message that the card drivers did no install correctly. I may be brain farting here but I cant figure out what I am missing here. From what I know, this card is suppose to work with the T61p, it is lenovo branded and the computer does boot up to windows without showing the error message of 1804 or whatever it is. Anyone who may know whats going on, please help!

What is the FRU of the card? Make sure you have the latest BIOS. I assume you have the red and blue antenna wires on your machine, although that wouldn't stop the drivers from loading.

The FRU is 42T0933. I have just updated the bios about a month ago. I will check to see if theres a newer version. I just cant figure out what the issue is here. I did get the wwan/wlan antenna and sim card slot as well.
