t20 battery

can i use a t20 battery in a t30 battery, my buddy told me that they are the same, i looked up in the internet, they are definitely look the same, so my question is can i use t20 battery for t30?

No, but you can use a T30 battery in a T2x, it just doesn't work the other way around.

To be a little bit more concise, the T30 battery has a notch in one of the corners (the one closest to the Ultrabay opening). The corner in the T30 battery bay fills in that notched area. The T2x battery does not have a notch in the case so it can't fit inside the T30's battery bay. Since the T2x battery bay has a regular corner, the T30 battery can fit inside but it leaves a small "hole" exposed.

Look at the area in the upper right corner on the batteries:
