T41 Motherboard Compatability
Hi,
Can anyone give me a comprehensive list of ALL motherboard with 128MB graphics chip that will physically fit into a T41 laptop?
I have a T41 but I want to put a new motherboard with a more powerful GPU in it.
Many thanks...

Re: T41 Motherboard Compatability
T41p and T42p mobos will fit, using the same ingredients you have now.
T43p (128MB GPU) will also fit, but you will need a new CPU and different RAM and use a T43 PCMCIA cage.

Also, a motherboard from R50p will with, pretty much (apart from the fan layout) identical to T41p.

Re: T41 Motherboard Compatability
Is the R50p a newer or older model than the T41p? Whats the maximum ram of the R50p?

The very same generation...think of R50p as of T41p motherboard in a R5x shell with am UXGA IPS screen from a T42p...2GB maximum RAM, DDR 333 Mhz (PC 2700).

Re: T41 Motherboard Compatability
Yes.
All T4x/R5x motherboards are of the same size.
One has to bear in mind RAM differences and FireWire ports or lack thereof, but that's it.
None of this is a concern in your case.
