WTB: R60 or T60 Intel GMA950 15" IPS, SXGA+ or UXGA or QXGA
Screen: original Flexview SXGA+, or upgraded IPS matte SXGA+ or UXGA or QXGA
Graphics: Intel (GMA950)
Needs to be reliable, but cosmetics don't have to be good. Maybe OK if a function is removed or not working, like wireless.
But please say what doesn't work, and any screen defects.
An NMB KB is worth a little extra to me, even very used.
Of course I would pay more for a like-new TP than an extremely worn one, but will consider both if both work well.
Thanks.

You might be better off doing this yourself. The R60 never came with an IPS. While there's a few around here, I don't know how many you're going to find. The T60, which did have the IPS option, but you couldn't order one with the Intel card, at least not through normal channels. Again, while there maybe a few around here, I don't know how many you'll find for sale. It's too bad you missed underclocker's R60 that was for sale last week. I think would have made an excellent candidate for upgrade. Good Luck.

ive got what you are looking for! t60 but mine is in great condition with new battery and sxga+ screen! how much are you offering

fry, Searched and see you have a "two thumbs up" trading
but also found that I already saw your T60 earlier, and unfortunately am not interested because of the glossy screen. I only want matte.
Fred, thanks, I guess I misunderstood underclocker in that R thread (http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=86282) and assumed IPS screens.
Still, that leaves T and upgraders. If anyone is getting rid of a 15" matte IPS Hi-Res Intel-Graphics T60 or R60, original or upgraded, let me know.

My R60 has the X1300. It runs very cool and quiet if that's a concern. I think that'd give you more options if you'd consider it.

I really want something where the fan almost never comes on though. The ATI R60 isn't that quiet is it?
ATI T60 isn't. Neither 15" ATI 1300 T60 xga nor the 15.4" wsxga+; both are much too loud for me. Undervolted and underfanned, quiet, but very warm. I have the beautiful T60p to undervolt and underfan, and would like one (or two) that I have the option of just sticking Linux on, and not have to bother with compiling undervolting software, but still be silent.
I would appreciate the ATI's DVI out, but if the fan comes on, it wouldn't be worth it. I've been meaning to test external monitor with VGA from my T60, to see if it can turn grey "black" to real black well.
Some people want/need the fastest or lightest TP they can find, I care about user interface the most. Noise, screen, KB.

I would say I rarely hear the fan on my R60, but it's not never. The R series is thicker and runs quieter than the T series in my experience. I just park the GPU in battery mode most of the time. I don't game much any more. World of Goo is about it for me.
