Newest Power Manager Update - Fixed my "hanging issues"

#1 Post by Investinwaffles » Thu Apr 01, 2010 11:41 am

So I system update just updated my power manager. Previous to this, my X301 with W7 Home Premium 64bit would hang when you tried to enter standby more than once, and would hang before shutting down or hibernating. The only way was to do a hard power-off.

The update fixed all of that! I have been only putting it into standby for the last 2-3 days (10+ standby/resume cycles) and it is working flawlessly.

Any one else have the same problem??
X301 - C2D SU9400 (1.4ghz), 4GB DDR3, Intel X18-M G2 , W7 64bit
X41 Tablet - PM 758 (1.5ghz), 1.5gb DDR2, 60gb 4200rpm, XP Pro

Not 100% sure, but I was getting PAINFUL wake-ups from Standby, on the order of a minute or so, and now it's just less-painful on the order of 10-15 seconds. I can live with that.

Thanks for the tip - was waiting for some Win7 updates for the old machines (X32 here)

EDIT: Turns out that it didn't fix anything.. still getting painful wake-ups from sleep in Windows 7.
