R61 screen works after pressing on the side

#1 Post by raba » Mon Apr 05, 2010 1:48 am

Hi Guys,

what is the problem here?

In the first picture, only the top of the screen is visible. After pressing on the middle of the left side of the display (see my finger), the middle part becomes also visible.
After pressing and holding the complete middle en lower side of the screen, everything is OK.

When loosening grip, the screen fails again.

It's an R61 with a 1680screen. Now just 2 years old and no guarantee left.

What to do?

regards,
Randy

Welcome to the Forum.

What to do?
First: read the Forum Rules about pictures and replace the pictures with just links!

You may have a loose LCD cable on the back of the LCD.
Or someone 'sat' on it, and caused the screen layers to separate.
You almost certainly will need to replace the LCD.
