Thinkpad W701 and W701DS now up on Lenovo US website

Been checking to see when the Thinkpad W701 would show up for ordering on the website. It up there now this morning along with the W701Ds, estimated ship date is 9 days.

Wow, that's quick. I just happened to be checking the employee discount site yesterday
(or, day before?) and these goodies were nowhere to be found.

Btw, 6-8 weeks ago, I called Lenovo to see how long they'd stock new W700 models
and was told 'sometime into May'. No more details than that, and I haven't checked
to see if that info is still current.

Caution:
Never believe what you are told when you call Lenovo with a question like: "how much longer before this ___ model will be available. Or, "how long before hi-res displays will be available once again". The answer you will receive will be grossly inaccurate. I could go on and on giving accurate example after example of my _personal_ experience. And make no mistake this is not Lenovo bashing, or sour grapes. It is in fact the truth. No more, no less. Buyer beware...
