T42P Wireless Card stop working

#1 Post by rojas57 » Thu Apr 08, 2010 8:53 pm

Need some advise with this problem, which happen when I take the T42P out in a trip (Canada). At home it seems to work fine. I updated the driver to
the latest version. I bought a new wireless card and I intend to replaced it, but there is a note, in the installation instructions which states: it do not
apply to 15" display.......What does mean this?? The model (2373-HVU) has a 15" display, so I can not use the instructions???.
Any help will be very appreciated......Thanks.

There's a set of separate instructions in the HMM for 15" models, since the palmrest and keyboard bezel are integrated.

First, you have to take the keyboard off. Then the palmrest/bezel. Then swap the card. Then reverse.

Personally, I always take out the hard drive and battery when I work on any machine, and these are my first steps.

Hope this helps.
