" Super L " key on TP 600X ?

#1 Post by parangles » Fri Apr 09, 2010 6:52 pm

I need Ctrl + super L to open a menu on Linux.
Does anyone know which key would be an equivalent?
I think its refering to a Windows key on the lower left side
of keyboard.

Thanks !

You are correct that the "super" key in linux is usually the "Windows" key on keyboards that have one. On my 600X I re-mapped the super key so that the shift lock key is now the super key, using the instructions forum member PizzaandWine gave in this thread.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

I am way out of depth here- 2 weeks with Linux (Mint)

What is mod4 ? - as in " add mod4 = Caps_Lock "
in the instructions you referenced.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know the code well enough to say just what it means. I only know that it worked for me. Didn't have to know what I was doing, just followed the instructions PizzaandWine posted, and was all set.
