W510 and GPS

#1 Post by Oaklodge » Sat Apr 10, 2010 8:34 pm

I'm confused .... on my new W510 lenovo and Microsoft have both installed GPS software ...

1) Does the W510 come with GPS ?
2) How do I get it to work ?

Giday mate;
Cool prof you have - nice website !

W510 > 4318CTO's:
WWAN in Aust = "Integrated Mobile Broadband (3G WWAN) - Qualcomm"
WWAN in USA = "Integrated Mobile Broadband (Gobi 2000 3G with GPS) "

Not sure Aust version = even has a SIM slot ? if so than am sure you can "enable" GPS etc ....as we have a number of pple in our company using the 4318ctos fully decked out ordered via our USA offices - just to get "gobi" cards which are DUAL BANDS (CDMA & HPSDA) and sim slots are NOT LOCKED!!

I think I posted some of this info elsewhere on this forum or the lenovo sister site , please check for them.

Hope it helps
cheers
