#1 Post by AdrianPL » Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:12 am

Hey...
recently i started getting the Error 188 Checksum was wondering if there is anything i could do to fix it, for now pressing ESC works to bypass it, also my new battery worked flawlessly and this morning the laptop wont turn on, AC cord has to be attached to power on the laptop and than i can unplug it and it will run on battery :| any help with those two issues ? or is thinkpad the biggest garbage i bought...

I would first replace the CMOS battery (under the palmrest), and then think twice before calling your TP names... :o

You could try updating/reflashing the BIOS.
