Quick Launch Gone......after restart

I have a funny problem with my quick launch....where it dissappear everytime I restart or start up. Is there something to do with spyware?

I have had this happen to me once in a while if windows shuts down abnormally. Malware could certainly be at the root of it, as you suggest.

I'd run Ad-Aware, Spybot, and the virus scanner of your choice. If those come back clean, it's probably a windows configuration problem.

Google: XP quicklaunch disappears

you'll get lots of hits.
