display off then on again

I suspect this is an easy fix, but I can't figure it out...

On my T61, the screen will turn off (I'm guessing for screensaver, which is set to "None" in Display Properties) and then turn right back on again. I looked for a conflict between Power Options (Windows Control Panel) and ThinkVantage Power Manager, but Power Manager seems all greyed out and with no active Power Scheme. Any ideas? > not sure if this would help your issue , but I had the same(model) T61 as you once........... and did notice same kinda thing ,,,, but then I quickly upgraded to Win7 x64 and sicne the upgrade it didnt do that....
So am thinking could be driver conflict (TVT) with Windows Screensaver. I have bad experainces with TVT software and for long time i never installed them - any laptops with them - got quickly rid off!

Hope this give you some ideas to fix the annoyin screen ....
