Windows 7 Installation on T30

#1 Post by Brushy » Sun Apr 18, 2010 5:56 am

Hi,
Have just installed W7 Ultimate on T30 2366 running with 2 GB ram.
Installation smooth but found that a few drivers needed and some of installed default drivers did not work 100%.
Manually installed drivers using Vista ones if available and XP if not.Network Adapter took a couple of attempts before accepted.Hot Key was only problem and used my T61 driver for that (6wvu51ww)and it worked.
Is running ok with all software installed and maybe a tad faster than with XP Home.Certainly faster on boot.
Installed Win Mail from Vista as prefer to the new version.

Hi to all,
Just thought you'd like to know I've got windows 7 dual booting on a T30 2366 with 1.8ghz processor and only 512mb ram on a 12GB partition. Runs pretty well, only prob was with the wireless card but got round that with a pmcia wireless card which windows update found the drivers for. Never could get it to run in xp ! If it continues to do well I may just get rid of xp at a later date.

Hi konstantin.neo2
Sorry for the slow reply
2.4 processor.
2 Gb ram
60 gb hard Drive with Operating System and all software that I use taking up 15Gb of a 20 Gb partition. Believe that the O/S was about 9GB
Browse with either Explorer or Firefox.
Now have fitted a new Wireless card Samsung SWL 2700M. Works great and installed with no bios problem.
