Need new laptop for small business

I purchased an R51 in 2005 and have been extremely happy with it. I have a one-man environmental consulting company and do a lot of mapping using a software package Arc Map. I also use the MS Office software and often have several programs open at the same time. I want to upgrade to a new system that will allow faster processing and a bigger screen size. I looked on the Lenova web site and saw that the "W" series had the only screen with a 17 inch display. I realize this question is somewhat rambling but I hope there is someone that can give me some direction. Thanks, Chris

That's a widescreen model, not sure if that fits your needs, because you need to scroll up/down more.
You'd probably be very happy too with a (used or refurbished) T60 with 15" Flexview/IPS screen, either in SXGA+ (1400x1050) or UXGA (1600x1200).
Flexview screens are the RollsRoyce of LCDs
Those T60s are also the last of the Mohicans, i.e. the last models with 4:3 SCREEN RATIO.
Anything after that has widescreen .

Sorry, do you know of a "T60" for sale that meets your description.

If you are on budget like me You can try one A31p or T42p (15" screensize). The are cheap and easy to upgrade. The T42p is a most powerful machine (a friend of me have one with 1660x...) and you can get one around $300...
