X201 crashing/freezing after login - win 7 pro

Hello,

I was wondering if a more tech savvy member of this forum could help me with a problem I'm having with my X201 running windows 7 pro. Sometimes when turning on the machine, after logging in, the desktop with appear and then disappear only to be replaced by a black screen. When this happens my only option is to power off using the power button and restart.

Can anymore tell me how to diagnose this issue or point me in a direction? I'd really appreciate it.

Try system restore if you made changes.
