What is this strange icon that won't go away?

Anyone know how to make this icon go away? It's a small black triangle with a white exclamation point inside. Sits next to my battery meter. Highlighting it gives me this message:

"With the current system settings and a full charge, your battery can provide approximately 2.5hrs of use. A new battery could provide up to an estimated 4.0 hours. Doubleclick for replacement options."

when I dbl click, it opens the battery page on lenovo.com. that's it. Anyone know how to get it off my taskbar?
