TrackPoint Scroll Button is suddenly standard Windows func

Hi,

This happened already few times, when the laptop shuts down uncleanly, on boot the scroll button functionality is a regular Windows one, and not ThinkPad's.

Reboot doesn't help, only upgrading the TrackPoint drivers.

All the posts I could find involved SynTP* files, but I do not have C:\Program Files\Synaptics folder nor any such files.

Is there a way to start the service manually?
