dock and screen not turning on

#1 Post by tetrismaster » Tue Apr 27, 2010 6:03 pm

I'm having an issue with my screen not turning on after docking. My settings right now is to do nothing when the lid is closed. If I dock my lid-closed laptop and then open the lid the screen stays off. Closing and opening again does nothing but I know for a fact that my laptop is still on. For example, if I press the sleep button (fn F4) the fan turns off and the laptop sleeps.

This is one way for me to get the screen to turn back on, but there's got to be a reason this i happening and I don't want to keep sleeping it and waking it just to get the screen to turn on. Is there a fix for this? Or even just pressing a button to get the screen back on?

Doesn't work because fn-f7 brings up window asking about external monitors and projector options and I cant see them anyways. I tried selecting one of them (it's just arrow keys and enter to select), but it doesn't work either.
