I bought the T42..did I make a mistake?

Given that I plan to dock my laptop 90% of the time...and use a 19" monitor set-up.....would it have been wiser for me to get the X 40 for my purposes..so for the 10% of the time when I travel I have a thin & light laptop.

Your insights will be most appreciated.

You already have a thin and light laptop for the 10% of the time that you're away from the desktop.
The X series would be an ultraportable laptop. I think x series are better for people that are away from the desktop 90% of the time and at the desktop 10% of the time. So in my opinion you made a good choice.
