i can't start the recovery partition (X300 with SSD)

Hi lads,

Got my X300 with the 64GB Samsung SSD.
I ve been using it for a while now and it's that time of the year where i have to format it and reinstall the OS to get some of that lovely speed it had when it was new.

Unfortunately there is no way i can start the IBM recovery partition to make the automatic reinstallation the Thinkpad has.
Probably the cause is because i resized my partition (with Partition Magic) and created a 2nd partition and installed Ubuntu.
I think that has somehow affected the Thinkpad boot software/routine..
The SERVICE0001 partition is still there though!

Any ideas how can i fix this?
T21 (Sold)
T40 (Sold)
T41 (best machine i ever had, Sold)
Toshiba Satellite (what a mistake, sold)
Thinkpad Z61t (brilliant machine, went to my father)
Got my T61 :)
