IBM A31p UXGA IPS FlexView Display

#1 Post by bclayt » Wed May 05, 2010 8:16 am

Hello,

I have a chance to get a A31P Flexview, I am wondering if these can be upgraded to SSD 2.5, T7600,WWAN, Intel 2 duo core, etc... & are parts readily available for this model? or should I stick with a T60P Flexview AFFS, any pros & cons would be appreciated.

Thanks
T60P 2007-WUK Flexview AFFS 15", T7600, 128 GB SSD, 3 GB Memory,

If you are interested in fast SSD's and core 2 duo CPU's, my advice would be to stick with the T60 or later machines. The A31P can take an SSD, but it will be a slower IDE interface. It does not support SATA. On the CPU front, it only supports Pentium 4M single core CPU's.
