expected/normal operating temperature of t42

the ambient temperature is around 44 degrees outside and room is around at 35 C. This is a Ati 9600 model fitted in a 14 inch chasis. What should be the expected temp on this machine when idle/light browsing/flash video watching?

When I was having overheating problems (same 9600) related to the fan, I started monitoring CPU and GPU temps. The T42 shutdown when the GPU reached ~98 deg. C. I could restart it and it would boot back up just fine. The CPU did not get as hot as the GPU. Flash animation is what really heated up the system. I had the fan replaced (under warranty) and the problem was solved.

ok my system starts off at about 48 then goes to 55 then after 10 minutes sits at 65 continously... when playing flash it goes upto 80 even! the fan is making a whirring noise. i wonder if its a good idea to get one of ebay or better order from ibm?
