Hi Folks,
I have a T400, and every now and again, usually when I have a load of programs open, my system hangs when trying to go to sleep. Everything turns off, except the lights indicate it's still on, the illumination LED (fn+PgUp) turns on, etc. I have to do a hard shutdown, and deal with the consequences. This happens every couple weeks or so.
I've had no joy from microsoft in trying to figure the problem out. Any ideas about troubleshooting a problem like this? There's nothing in the system logs to indicate any problem. It'd be ideal to have some sort of utility that would keep a log, and that would indicate what the sleep process ends up hanging on. But I don't know of anything like that.
In the end, I suspect that ATI is responsible for it, but that's just a hunch based on all sorts of history with them - I have no proof that that's the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
How to debug a T400 that hangs when going on standby?
