I have a friend looking for a 15" laptop for his wife.No need for anything new and super powerful. I would consider anything like T4x, or R5x.
Ideally, the machine would be an Intel Vid-chipped R52 15" XGA, 1Gb RAM, B/G WiFi, DVD/CDRW Combo optical drive, 40Gb+/5400rpm HDD in decent cosmetic condition with A/C adapter.

Looking to spend around $200.

An an option, you can occasionally find R60 (15"), R61e or Z61m (both 15.4" widescreens) in the $200 - $250 range. Usually, on eBay.

These are fine Celeron (upgradable to CD or C2D), Core Duo or Core 2 Duo machines.
