R61i hard drive cover question

#1 Post by Indy452 » Mon May 10, 2010 8:48 pm

I need to buy a caddy and cover for my R61i but the ones I'm looking at on e-bay are opposite what I believe they should be....Here are the links to the two from the same seller...I need a cover for my 15.4" R61i but the one listed has a whole panel below where mine is simply a cover over the side like the 14" one listed...will the 14" version work on my 15 then? I'm confused..... :help:

Can't find a picture, but you are looking for Lenovo P/N 42X3953
It's similar to the 14" cover, but has longer "metal clamps" because the HD in a 15.4" WS goes in deeper than in a 14" model.

Thanks... Now does anyone know where I can get one? I'm not having luck finding one anywhere.

Silly I know to ask so many questions pertaining to a simple hd cover but [censored]...I've searched high and low and this one is about the cheapest I can find....I wish it at least came with a caddy..

Unless sold, there's a T6x series caddy in the Marketforum for sale. $5.- + shipping
