unable to connect to the wirless network

#1 Post by samjesse » Tue May 11, 2010 3:47 am

Hi

I have a wireless network which I have 2 other computers connected to. the other computers are working good. but this ebay A31 2652 is Unable to connect to the wireless network.

I have disabled the Firewall, deleted the connection in order to re create it, repair failed with the message in the title of this post.

I am able to connect to another Unsecured wireless network "neighbor". but not mine which is WPA2-AES, it does not even give me the window to enter my SSID key.

please help

thx

IIRC, Windows xp sp2 does not support WPA2. There is a microsoft patch that will support it, or upgrade to sp3.

Good luck.

If you have the original card in that A31, it will only do WEP and there's nothing that can be done about it short of replacing the card with a newer one.
