Memory Upgrade
Memory Upgrade
I want to add a 1GB chip in the momory slot.
my t42p only came with 512 so what mfng is this likely to be?
What is a good chip maker either equal or better then the orig. chip?
Know of a good online place to order from in the US?
Thanks!

My T42p came with Micron ram. My two T42s came with Hynix. I don't know (and don't believe) that distinction normally runs across the different trims available.
You can get Micron RAM from www.crucial.com, Micron's own retail site. The prices are good for the premium you get for the best RAM.
Honestly though, any compatible RAM should work just fine, I got a 512MB stick from Corsair and have never had a blue screen.
