Fingerprint delay

I'm having a problem with my fingerprint reader.

At startup, when prompted to scan my finger, swipe but nothing is recognized on the screen. The systems acts like it's locked up for about 15 seconds, then a "not recognized" message will pop up. I usually end up hitting ESC and typing in my password.

After a few re-start cycles, the problem seems to go away, but then re-surfaces after I dock or undock my T42p.

I have the current BIOS and fingerprint s/w.

Is anyone else having this problem?
