T410 Harddrive metal cage with rubber
T410 Harddrive metal cage with rubber
Hi all, Wondering if anyone had any luck finding the part number for the internal harddrive kit (the metal craddle/mount) and the rubber siding attached to the internal harddrives on the T410 model.
And how do i go about ordering a spare set ???
I have another harddrive and I would like to swap back and forth, but I found it a bit pain to keep taking off the 4 little screws and the rubber from the existing drive. It would be nice to have the spare drive already attached to the craddle with the rubbers on the side.
Thanks

I don't believe there is a part number for the caddy itself. The part number for the rubber rails is 41V9756. If you can wait a few weeks, there's this shipped from Hong Kong or for an extra $1, you can get this from CA, which you'll probably get faster.

I just purchased the one from Canada. Price is great. Thank you for the recommendation.

The hard drive bays in Thinkpads are not made for repeated insertion and removal of drives. You'd be better off getting a 2nd HDD adapter and using it (in place of the CDRW) in the Ultrabay.

This is a short time solution.. I do agree with you about the ultrabay hhd slot, im thinking about getting it also once I settle down on one drive, i can use the second drive as extra storage.Harryc wrote:The hard drive bays in Thinkpads are not made for repeated insertion and removal of drives.
