m58p audio driver issues

#1 Post by dolson60174 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:29 pm

So the issue I am having is the sound becomes garbled after I perform a Sysprep. I have a universal image i use in our Corporate environment, so there are other models of desktops and laptops that this image works on. What happens is the SoundMAX driver that currently works fine in the M58p is v5.10.1.6450 dated 12/2/08, this however gets updated to v5.10.1.6590 dated 6/9/09 and this version breaks the sound. I have tried everything from using older versions to eliminating all drivers except the one that works, and of course somewhere it breaks another machine in the test environment. I eve tried downloading the driver packs to see if this resolves it and nothing. I also tried on several other machines to make sure its not hardware related. Anyone seen or heard about the version conflicts?
