cheapest brand new x200t / x201t with capacitive screen

#1 Post by meanie » Wed Jun 16, 2010 11:38 am

Hello experts,
I'm gonna get one to use as netbook, so processor doesn't really matter. Which model is the cheapest with capacitive screen(without using stylus)?

please post USA links if possible.
Thanks

Capacitative and resistive touch panels both can be used with fingers.
capacitative touch panels are few and pricier and the tablets mostly had resistive panels before.
Dell XT2, X201t, Hp2740p all have capacitative touch now.

I guess you can get resistive (finger touch panels ) pretty cheap- the same that you get on most smartphones.

But in my opinion by far the best touch panel for the cheapest price is the ipad. I hate apple because of their policies but I have to say that what ipad did in 10 days what Bill Gates could not do in 10 years.

Amazing touch panel on ipad- I wish it had pen input- I wish it had an integrated keyboard- I wish thinkpad tablet would have a even better and lighter panel in future.

However coming back to your query-your answer may be ipad.

The ipad is a good media consumer, but you absolutely cannot do any work on it.
